Veterans Aid and Attendance Benefits

The VA provides health care Veterans Aid and Attendance benefits for Veterans and their surviving spouses, allowing access to in-home care services for Veterans through approved providers in the local community outside of VA facilities.

Veterans and their surviving spouses may be eligible to receive home care for Veterans from a community provider when the VA is unable to provide the care needed directly. This care is provided on behalf of and paid for by the VA once authorization is granted.

These supportive medical services are designed to help chronically ill or disabled eligible Veterans of any age remain in their homes. Often referred to as Home Health or Home Care Services, this in-home care for Veterans is considered extended care and is prescribed by and provided under the direction of a VA physician.

Community Care and in-home care services for Veterans outside of VA facilities must first be authorized by the VA before a Veteran can receive care from a community provider such as Hope Private Care.

Hope Private-In Home Care, LLC (Hope Private Care) is certified by the Community Care Administrators of the VA as one of the trusted Veterans home care providers, delivering in-home care services to eligible Veterans and their surviving spouses throughout Metro Atlanta and the surrounding counties (see our listing of Service Areas covered).

• Home health aide services
• Homemaker services
• Palliative care
• Remote monitoring care
• Respite care
• Hospice care
• Personal Support Services including companionship, meal preparation and feeding, light housekeeping, errands and laundry, bathing, toileting and incontinence care, and transportation
